Who are we?
We are patients, caregivers, and providers who have been harmed by the psychiatric system.
"Madness Magazine" is an ongoing multi-volume zine created in Tucson, Arizona in 2024.

The goal of "Madness Magazine" is to hand the microphone back to the patients, providers and loved ones of patients who have felt confused, shunned, harmed or otherwise adversely affected by their psychiatric treatment. Our goal is to find healing in ourselves and in others while documenting the treatment we have received. How can we know the validity of any therapeutic treatment without firsthand accounts of its effectiveness?

"Madness Magazine" accepts submissions from anyone in most formats and is a collaborative project. Your submissions can be credited or anonymous - all we ask is that they do not encourage destructive behaviors and document a real experience.

Where can I read "Madness Magazine"?
"Madness Magazine" is produced as a physical booklet, as well as published online in a digital format. You can read it here, or contact us to receive a paper copy in the mail or via in-person pickup.
Where can I pay for "Madness Magazine"?
We do not view "Madness Magazine" as a product that can be sold, but rather as a means for communication between patients and a documentation of treatment. Therefore, we accept donations via a "pay what you want" model. All donations go to maintaining our website and the cost of printing.
